The First Xbox Game Pass Titles of 2026 Reveal Xbox Remains Committed.
In numerous discussions, commentators persist in tolling the funeral bells for Microsoft's gaming division. Xbox was recently outsold by a lesser-known competitor. Xbox fan sites are now publishing content regarding Sony's platform for the first time. 2025 was complete chaos for the Xbox ecosystem. Yet, based exclusively on what's coming to Game Pass in 2026, it is apparent that the green gaming company remains determined to draw people in with quality releases on its flagship service.
The Available Now Titles
A pair of titles that are immediately available as you read this, Brews & Bastards and Little Nightmares Enhanced Edition, aren't the showstoppers. The true anticipation is for the upcoming titles to Game Pass over the next few weeks that's worth getting excited about.
Major Titles on the Horizon
On Jan. 13, the platform will add the underappreciated Star Wars Outlaws, an open-world game that refreshes the standard Ubisoft formula with an intergalactic heist adventure. A further major acquisition is Resident Evil Village with its iconic tall vampire, which our 2021 review called "an ideal blend of frights and fights."
Compelling Indie Titles
But even the smaller games arriving shortly on the service are quite compelling. Lost In Random: The Eternal Die, the criminally overlooked roguelike that is incredibly fun, becomes available next week β and it merits a playthrough whether or not you experienced the first Lost in Random game.
The game set in a ruined Britain from last year may draw you in in about 15 minutes flat.
Atomfall, the stealth survival game by the makers of Sniper Elite, is also a game to check out. Game Pass Ultimate subscribers also have Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine β Master Crafted Edition to get excited about.
A Well-Rounded Collection
Ultimately, this isn't a revolutionary update to Game Pass, nor are they tentpole Microsoft studios games that validate the subscription by themselves. But Microsoft's additions here are very dependable. There's a good mixture of past releases that passed you by and relatively recent releases that lacked the recognition they deserved the first time around β which makes them ideal prospects to get a second chance on Game Pass.
You might need to brace yourself to say goodbye to The Grinch Christmas Adventures, however.
